I am leaving tomorrow on a long trip to Dallas to get my certification for teaching special needs therapeutic horseback riding lessons.  As a certified instructor, I'll be able to teach at basically any facility around the country, doing what I love to do (helping my special kids and the horses!!)  It's the career of my dreams.  It's hot, dirty, tiring work, and it's got its bad sides too... but I love it.  I've seen miracles happen while working the therapy sessions.  And now I get the opportunity to pass this massive test and become a certified instructor.

If I pass the test, that is.  Pray for me, folks, from now til Sunday.  I'll be in workshops, tests, demonstrations and lectures the entire week.  The week ends with a teaching test and a riding test, where I teach a class of two or three students, and then I ride for the judges.  They are the ones who determine whether or not I pass.

Fingers crossed, I come home with a fancy little certificate to hang in the office.

Just pray for me, and hard.

That aside, I'm cosplaying as the Ed Head Decoy for Comicpalooza (Houston) coming up end of the month.  If you're gonna be there, keep an eye out for me! :D Pictures of the cosplay are in my gallery.

That's pretty much it for now.  Just nervous and excited.
