hmmm.... so it's been since September... Am I really that bad about Journal Entries?

So I'm as ready as I can be for NaNoWriMo 2009, which starts November 1st, Midnight Local Time. I won't be able to stay up till midnight the 31st, unfortunately, so I'll be starting after church on Sunday the 1st. I hope to have at least 5k words by the end of the first day...

For those of you who (gasp!) don't know what NaNoWriMo is, what rock have you been hiding under? No, seriously, it's a great thing- an online writing challenge to write 50,000 words in 30 days, Nov. 1-30. It's not hard- only one hour per day, 12 words per minute, and you've got it. 1667 words a day. You can do it. Go sign up. Now.

And for those of you who (yay!) already have signed up at NaNo, I'm RodwenofRohan there- buddy me!

My story this year's called "FREAK" - it's a X-Men style mutation/superhero story. We'll see how it goes. The market for Superhero fiction's wide open at the moment.

In other news, If you haven't seen my gallery recently, I've begun dabbling in photomanipulation, thanks to a tablet from a friend, and who showed me where to find GIMP- a wonderful, online, free version of Photoshop.

So... I'm taking suggestions for photomanips right now, to get the practice. Hint, hint.

Oh, one more thing- I'm writing on FanFiction(dot)net these days, as Merides, of course. I've got a couple Justice League stories up there, and a Warehouse 13/Doctor Who crossover. Random humor... oh, and the one titled 'Have a Six Flags Day' is based on a true story. It's hysterical and pathetic, if I do say so myself. Let me know what you think about it.
